M/Y Whirlwind
The Award winning wooden hulled M/Y Whirlwind, was built in Rasheed close to Alexandria. In May 2006 she sailed her maiden voyage journeying to Sharm el Sheikh and taking her place amongst the elite of the liveaboard vessels in the Red Sea.
At 36m with a 8m beam Whirlwind easily accommodates 20 guests. There are 10 twin en-suite cabins. All cabins have plenty of storage and safety deposit boxes. Each is equipped with separate controls for A/C that are easily reached from the beds. Above all cabins are designed for luxury and comfort.
The dive deck is spacious and well thought. This makes set up for rebreather, twinset and photographers stress free and easy. To make sure fills are accurate and fast a haskel pump is available for trimix and high O2 blends. At the back of the deck fresh water tanks for cameras and fresh water showers can be found.
The restaurant located on the main deck and serves 3 meals per day buffet style. The tables are perfect for socialbility and therefore create a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
Moving up the stairs you will find the salon which has a large screen for briefings and showing footage and images from the days dives. This is a perfect place to relax with movie or swap stories with fellow divers on an evening.
Stepping through the door to the outside upper deck you get a real sense of the luxury with teak decking throughout. Moving to the front of the boat an oval area located past the bridge is perfect for sunbathing and scanning the horizon.
