The Ultimate Liveaboard Itineraries throughout the Red Sea

Diving in the Red Sea

Southern Red Sea

Southern Red Sea is known for it’s more remote reefs.  Having slightly warmer water temperatures than in the north means more common shark action particularly during the summer months.

Sightings of the oceanic white tip sharks known for their love of oceanic waters are frequent due to the proximity of reefs to very deep waters.

Aside from the pelagic marine life the southern Red Sea has a lot to offer.  Deep wrecks appealing to Tec divers are rich in history and life.  The coral reefs are still very unspoilt and are vibrant in colour.  The diving in the Red Sea is truly world class.

Northern Red Sea

The Sinai peninsula is a mountainous region which often seems mirrored underwater with monumental drop off’s, dramatic vertical walls and canyons.

On a major shipping route these waters are known as the gateway between Europe and Africa.  Many ships have sailed their voyages in this region and now lie below the surface.  The numerous wrecks make dives interesting for both the history and marine diversity.  The northern Red Sea boasts some of the most impressive wrecks in the world including the Rosalie Moller and the SS Thistlegorm.

In addition to it’s wrecks the northern Red Sea has some world renowned reef dives making the the perfect choice for diving in the Red Sea.
